You're thinking to yourself, I've seen her before... It's because you have. This girls mom started as a client, then became my dear friend and now she is an up and coming photographer! I love this family and Navi is just too fun to photograph. Laci and I got together for a little joint shoot and had a ball... for about two minutes when it started to snow. I looked over this one before, but just now it made me laugh. I love a good yawn!
p.s. I am trying out this new header. We'll see how long it lasts. I'm not quite sold.
Hadley and Karson are the adorable kids of some of our best friends, Darren and Jody. We have known these guys forever, and it's been so fun to watch their little guys grow up! When Haldey was a newborn, I went over to visit her almost every day after school in Logan. She was the most beautiful baby, and she NEVER cried. I can't believe how grown up she is now and how much little Karson looks like her! Hope you like these! We love you. =)
I am greatly in need of a new logo- or I guess I should say my first logo? Here is a little something I have been working on. I think I may stick with this shape around my name, but I think I want to change the lines (maybe so that it's really thin and perfect instead of looking drawn). Far from perfect, but a start. If anyone has any ideas, suggestions, ANYTHING on a new or existing logo, I would love it.
Well folks, thanks for all your interest in my work, thanks to you I am booked to the max through the end of June. I am not currently booking any specific dates for July and August, but if you are interested in one of my limited spots, please contact me and I will add you to the monthly "wish list." As the date approaches, I will work out exact dates. My brother is leaving to Spain on a two year mission for our church on Sept. 3rd, so the end of the summer will probably involve some travel time to Seattle to be with my family, which is why I can't solidify my photo schedule just yet. HOWEVER IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN BOOKING A SUMMER WEDDING, I AM CURRENTLY SCHEDULING FOR THE END OF SUMMER AND FALL. So please contact me A.S.A.P. Thanks!
What can I say. I fell in love with these girls! They were beautiful, spunky, and hilarious. I had so much fun picking out clothes (drooling over their wardrobes. oh, to dress a girl!), shoes, and watching them interact! I loved it when Olivia asked if I would babysit her! haha! ANYTIME!

Have you ever seen such a gorgeous family??
look at this dress up queen! sometimes I miss pretending. =)
It was a seriously windy day and these girls were not too sure about it. We needed a bribe. Fast. We found these beautiful lollies at the flower shop we were shooting outside of. Lucky us! Lots more to come from these cuties.
because they are the most photogenic family on the planet. Little H.H. is a baby model (look for him in some ads this year for those bumbo chairs (but not bumbo brand? the other ones?). Not surprising. I could have posted hundreds, but I controlled myself and stuck to a maximum of 97. Don't worry I'm kidding. Thanks H fam for the fun afternoon and for coming all the way from San Diego and making time for me!
this expression is the ultimate. I swear in his mind he's thinking.
This is how we all usually react at the mention of the dreaded FLASH. shudder. During "normal" shoots, I use natural light ONLY. But since I have gotten into weddings, I realize that there are some situations where it simply has to be done, like indoor evening receptions. Soooo, I caved and started flashing. In camera flash, scary. External flash, better, but unpredictable and difficult. Enter Gary Fong. I could kiss him for inventing THIS.
The fabulous lightsphere is so easy to use and the results are so much better!! Less shadows, softer, warmer, more flattering light, and backgrounds are better lit. Not to mention, never needing to BOUNCE again??! Keep it the same at all kinds of angles ( like my dad, taken from the floor, pointed up toward the ceiling), or this little foot, which belongs to Max. Genius. Both of these images are STRAIGHT out of my camera. No p.s. at all. If you use a flash ever, yet cha self one of these.
