oh yay.

vegas LIGHTS . . .

this shoot was SO fun. It took place between 11:30 pm and 1:00 am!  i have never done anything like it before but you can bet i will be using this technique again! Carly's whole edgy rocker look was SO perfect for the location, we had so much fun styling her hair and picking out all the clothes for this shoot! I LOOOVE when I get to do the styling fo shoots- it always seems to come together better when you can oversee everything from start to finish.

and a couple of vanessa...

We picked out more of a glam look for her- it's crazy how different each person's photos feel! V's shots are a little more old Hollywood to me. I wish we would have had a vintage dress or something. that would have been COOL. any volunteers for next time? =)

Note: I used the available light in every shot but  TWO. Can you tell which ones I used bounce flash with?

vanessa. work it girl! v and i actually met in person for the first time in vegas and we had so much fun!  plus, isn't she quite the model? vanessa totally saved us because she was the only one who knew her way around vegas. plus she taught me a rad little photoshop trick! yay!

carly. my supa talented girl from the north west! woot woot! she cut her hair a while ago and i am maaaaybe obsessed with it. it's so funky! she has no clue but she is freaking gorgeous and is seriously impressive in front of the camera.  many more to come of this girl for our las vegas strip shoot (wow that doesn't sound right).  She took a few pics of paul that blew my mind too. 

paul. ok, not our room mate but we were all kinda joined at the hip all week. he came out all the way from london and he has the raddest accent. we had a blast hanging out in class and shooting together. we all really learned a lot from each other. In fact, we all agreed that we learned as much from our long conversations and practice shoots as we did from attending classes. Pretty cool huh?

we had SO much fun at WPPI !

The platform classes gave me a lot to think about and hopefully I will be implementing 

lots of good changes in my photography and business soon.

i repeat, communication lines ARE down.

ugh. we have problems. if you tried to call me last night or this morning, you probably did NOT reach me. my phone randomly stopped working normally, as in when i try to make a call, it rings (if i am lucky) and then says, please enter your credit card or calling card number to complete this call...

umm..

say whaaaaaaat?

anyhoo, if you need to reach me today you can do so by e-mail and if you REEEEEALY need to talk to me i will try to call you back on lover boy's phone and hopefully we will get in touch shortly.
