The Alison Show // Living with Kids Holiday Home Tour

I was so excited for the opportunity to photograph Alison Faulkner of THE ALISON SHOW and her darling family for Design Mom's living with kids series. It called for a balance of some lifestyle family photos of the Faulkners in their home, doing the things they love (hellooooo! COOKIES!) with some interior shots Alison's holiday decor. I had the best time getting to know this spunky bunch, and it was so refreshing to see that Alison herself is just as fun, genuine, and hilarious in person as she is online. Plus, after we were finished,  I was ready to pull a grinch move and haul her tinsel tree and all the trimmings up the chimney and over to my house!

Of course we had to include a signature shot of Alison laying on the table!  ;)

You can see more of the photos and a GREAT interview with Alison over on DESIGN MOM (gasp!) here.

And the photos were also published by MARTHA STEWART (double gasp!) here.

Also huge thanks to Cayleen from WALLS BY MUR for the styling help!

And last but not least, wanna get your hands on some of those fancy cookies? Pickup Alison's COOKIE PARTY tutorial here! You will love, love, love it- I can tell you first hand. ;)

Ashley + Josh // NYC engagements

“One belongs to New York instantly, one belongs to it as much in five minutes as in five years.”
- Tom Wolfe

This is how I always feel about New York, though I've only been a handful of times, it's so easy to fall in love and feel a part of New York's energy. It's truly one of my very favorite places on earth, so when I had the opportunity to fly out to shoot Josh and Ashley's engagements, needless to say I was thrilled.

Susan Peterson & Co. // Freshly Picked

It was such an honor photographing the lovely and wildly talented Susan Peterson and her little family at Freshly Picked Headquarters! I have been a longtime fan (and my kids have been longtime consumers) of the original FRESHLY PICKED MOCCASINS, but more than that, I have always admired Susan's enthusiasm toward women in business. I admire her incredible achievements as an entrepreneur as well as her great attitude toward being a working mother.

“Balance does not exist, at least not in my world. I think that it is a myth, my life is not balanced, it is a series of prioritized choices that I make every day. My husband and I have worked really hard to create a home life where our children feel loved and valued. I’ve worked my butt off to try to create a workspace where ideas and accomplishments are celebrated and I’m proud of where I’ve landed in both aspects.”

Go check out a few more images and a great interview over on SWEET LITTLE PEANUT!
