My first wedding (as a photographer anyway)!

It's official, meet Jessica Kettle, the wedding photographer! But more importantly, meet Jon and Emily. Such a happy couple, whose pictures I was honored to take. Here are a whole bunch of favorites.
{prepare yourself for a whole lotta kissing in the first ones! woa baby!}

by the way, I have been messing around with this creamy black and white. What do you think?

I love this girl.

I have been lucky enough photograph Navi and her little brother a lot. A whole lot. And I could not love these kids any more! Navi is super photogenic, mostly because she is just so silly (and obviously gorgeous)! She just does all these cute things that little girls do, and the results are to die for.

just stollin'.
me: "Navi, show me your preeeeetiest dance."
she: Bust these moves out!

so worth it.

Poor Emily and Jon. They got rained (or maybe hurricaned?) out on their wedding day, BIG TIME. Guess what? We don't care. Because we got to go back tonight, just the three of us! I could not be happier that we did. These are the first two edits of MANY. But I thought I'd share. In color and black and white, I couldn't decide. So sue me.

more minis

Here are just a few random ones from the Easter mini sessions. It seems like lately I have been shooting soooo many girls! Love it. =) The light was so soft and pretty that day, I love it when I get lucky like that!

this is the ONE and ONLY shot we took of Ivy. Thankfully it turned out alright!

Storyboards

Now offering story boards: a clean, modern take on photo collages. Here's a 15x30 we put together of little Gray! Thanks Laci and Chelsea for the input last night!

a mini session

Great response for the Easter mini sessions! Thanks to everyone who came out. I just wanted to share the three pictures chosen for the adorable Bennett. Who knew you could get shots like this in 15-20 minutes?! More to come from everyone else!

If mini sessions are something you would like to see again, please leave me a comment and maybe a recommendation for time of year- i.e. midsummer, early fall (as an alternative for dorky school pics?).

{Asher}

I am so glad my cousin Scott and his cute wife and son came up for pictures. They are the sweetest little family and we had so much fun spending the day together. Isn't Asher the spunkiest toddler? And Cassie and Scott are such a striking couple. I just love them. The whole lot of 'em. Let's get together again soon guys! Love ya!

my favorite of the whole family.
this took trust. these barrels may or may not contain hazardous waste.
but they are so cool we had to go anyway!

Scott always squints and crinkles his eyes when he smiles, making me love this one
 all the more.

can't get enough of that smirk!

such handsome little guy!

follow the red brick road

Have you ever seen three sweeter sisters!? Love these little girs. They were so animated and so fun to work with. I hardly had to tell them anything, they were just themselves- adorable!

this picture cracked me up every time I saw it. If you can't get the "perfect" shot,
just enjoy the process.

the end. literally.
