sold out.

WOW. Thank you so much to everyone who e-mailed me today about mentoring! Truly I am so flattered. I had no idea so many people would be interested. I currently have 14 people from various states ready to take the plunge. For now I think that may be all I can handle! Please e-mail me if you would like to be on a cancellation list (you just never know!) or if you would like to be notified FIRST before I offer more sessions next time around. When it all happens next totally depends on how the scheduling works out for the first group of people.

Also, I will be offering mentoring / portrait sessions in the SEATTLE AREA in the beginning of May as well as in ORANGE COUNTY sometime late spring/early summer. Let me know if you're interested!

wow. congrats! I would love to take lessons from you! maybe someday... does this mean I can't ask you questions anymore?? Cause I have another one. I only shoot in manual mode now, thanks to you! But i was wondering...do you shoot in "manual focus" or automatic? I am noticing it looks crisper if I manually focus it BUT it's really hard to do it every time if you are shooting fast little toddlers! how do you do it?? thank you!!

Jessica,
Hello! Can I start off by saying hoe increadibly talented you are! I found your blog a couple of months ago. My sister in law's brother {catch all that?} is Darren Riggs and she told me that you did a Q&A a few months ago on camera/photoshop tips that might help me as I started looking into both. I purchased a Nikon D40 and photoshop elements 7 and now I'm just trying to get started. The Q&A was extremely helpful as to helping me understand my camera a little better, and I've been playing around with that a bit. As far as editing, I'm still a little lost. My husband did research on photoshop vs elements and most said elements would be good if I was just starting out. Truly, I still have no idea how to use it, but I'm trying to figure some things out. I went to the pioneer woman site and love the options she has, however, from what I see they are not compatible with elements. Is that right? I do have the bridge that I can open my pictures in, so I guess I'm hoping that somehow I can get the actions to work with my elements. If you could give me any advice, I'd totally appreciate it. Honestly, if you ever did a photoshop lab/mentoring or something I'd be all over it!

Thank you! Thank You!

Wow!! I missed all this!! Congrats on such a great response!! I, like everyone else, would love to do a mentoring session but don't know when i could get to Utah. Let me know if you come east anytime, I would meet you somewhere. Or if you keep doing the mentoring thing, maybe I could take a vacation to Utah sometime in the future. I definitely would be interested if you decide to publish material from mentoring sessions online!! I am still trying to figure out the manual thing. I can't figure out how to know what to set it on, like how do you know what numbers to use? Keep up the great work!!
